Theresienstadt

More than 15,000 children lived at Theresienstadt. When the camp was liberated on May 8, 1945, the number of child survivors was 1,633 (half of them were inmates of the camp, the others had arrived only recently from other camps). Among the 6,588 children who were deported to Auschwitz, only 100-150 survived. In total, we can say that of the 15,000 children who lived at Theresienstadt only 10% survived.
