Chaim Spiro / Harry Spiro (M / Poland, 1929), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Chaim (Harry) Spiro was born in Piotrków Trybunalski, Łódź, Poland in 1929. He was forced to live with his family in the Piotrkow Ghetto. Spiro was then taken to KZ Czestochowa and then to Buchenwald and Remsdorf. He endured a death march to Theresienstadt, where he remained until Liberation.

He arrived in England with the Windermere Children in August 1945.
