Biography

Hersch (Hirsch) Brand was born in 1929 in Ulucz, Poland, to Chaim Dovid and Lea.

The family was forced to live in the Brzozow Ghetto.

In August 1942 Hersch was deported to Plaszow. In 1943 he was Skarzysko-Kamienna and in 1944 in Czestochowa-Rakow, and then in Buchenwald.

He eventually ended u inTheresienstadt, where he was liberated in May 1945

He arrived in England with the Windermere Children in August 1945. He settled in Israel.
