Sala Bernholz / Sala Kaye (F/ Poland, 1930), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Sala Bernholz (Brenhalz) were born May 13, 1930 in Przytyk, Poland.

In 1939, she lived with their family in Wolanov, Poland.

She was deported to Strzalkowo, Blizyn and then Auschwitz. She ended up in Theresienstadt, where she was liberated in May 1945.

In August 1945 she joined the Windermere Children on their way to England.

Sala remained in England, became a seamstress and married a fellow Holocaust survivor, becoming Sala Kaye.
