The category: Polish, highlights the national or linguistic identity of people, associated with Poland and Polish language and culture.

Overview

The Poles, or Polish people, are an ethnic group that primarily inhabit Poland and speak the Polish language (circa 60 million).

Most Poles today live within the borders of independent Poland (circa 37 million). There are Polish minorities in nearby Ukraine, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in the United States, Germany, Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
