The category: Albanian, highlights the national and linguistic identity of Scholars, Authors and Artists, associated with Albania and Albanian language and culture.

The Albanians are an ethnic group that primarily inhabit Albania and neighboring countries and speak the Albanian language (circa 7 million).

Most Albanians today live within the borders of independent Albania (circa 2,500,000) and semi-independent Kosovo (circa 1,500,000). There are Albanians minorities in nearby Macedonia, Greece, and Montenegro, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in Italy, Germany, Turkey, and the United States.
