The page: Argentine, highlights the national and linguistic identity of Scholars, Authors and Artists, associated with Argentina and Argentine culture.

The Argentines, or Argentinians, are the multi-ethnic citizens of Argentina (circa 42 million). Aside from the indigenous population, nearly all Argentines or their ancestors came from other countries (mainly Spain and Italy) within the past five centuries, as a result of immigration. They primarily speak the Spanish language.

Most Argentines today live within the borders of independent Argentina (circa 40 million). There are many Argentines in nearby Paraguay, and Chile, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in Spain, the United States, and other countries.
