Herod the Great (1st century BCE) was Governor of Galilee (47-40 BCE) and then King of Israel (37-4 BCE).

Biography

Herod the Great was the son of Antipater. His brother was Phasael.

Herod Archelaus, Herod Antipas, and Herod Philip were among his sons.
