The category: Finnish, highlights the national and linguistic identity of people, associated with Finland and Finnish language and culture.

Overview

The Finns are an ethnic group that primarily inhabit Finland and speak the Finnish language (circa 6,500.000 worldwide).

Most Finns today live within the borders of independent Finland (circa 5,500.000). There are Finnish minorities in nearby Sweden, Norway and Russia, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in the United States, Canada, and other countries.
