Mika Waltari (1908-1979) was a Finnish novelist. Waltari was born on September 19, 1908 in Helsinki, Finland. He is best-known as the author of historical novels, including The Egyptian (1945), The Adventurer (1950), The Wanderer (1951), The Etruscan (1956), The Roman (1966), and many others. Waltari died on August 26, 1979 in Helsinki, Finland.
