Biography

Pavac Buchler was born July 28, 1935 in Zagreb, Croatia, to Serbian parents (Arpad Buchler and Renè Zeitlin). In 1941, the family (father, mother and three siblings) arrived as refugees in Malo, near Vicenza, Italy, where Hanna was born. They remained at Malo until Sept 14, 1943, when they left, going south. They were liberated in Central Italy. In July 1944, father, mother and the four sibling sailed to Fort Ontario, United States. Father died at the camp on February 19, 1945.
