Abstract
The movie, aimed to religious instruction, is a retelling of the Life of Mary from the Annunciation to the Resurrection of Jesus. Mary, fully aware of her son’s destiny, has a prominent role in his life, gently guiding and counseling him, such as his parables as being inspired by stories she told him in his childhood. The resurrected Jesus also appears to her first of all people. The movie closes with Mary suggesting the disciples should start preaching about her son. Filmed in and around Budapest, stars Pernilla August (Mary) and Christian Bale (Jesus).
