Elizabeth, in the arts

As the mother of John the Baptist, Elisabeth is a supporting character in some stories from the Life of John the Baptist, notably, in the Birth of John the Baptist.

The episode of the Visitation of Mary guarantees her presence also in narratives on the Life of Mary and in the Life of Jesus.

Only in Ancient Rage (1995 Wile), novel, Elizabeth has a role of protagonist in dialogue with Mary of Nazareth.
