Gerda Landsberger (F / Poland, 1927), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Gerda Landsberger was born October 24, 1927 in Teschen, Poland, to Elias Landsberger and Erminie Elsner. Refugees in Italy, in May 1940 they joined the Benghasi Group and went to Libya, hoping to sail to Palestine. From Lybia they were sent to Ferramonti in September 1940 and then to KZ L'Aquila (Alfedena) in September 1941. After Sept 1943, they survived in hiding until liberation.
