Biography
Derritt (Vienna, 25 Apr 1938) and Ruth (13 Nov 1943) were the children of Polish parents, Efraim and Bertha Goldstein. The family arrived in Italy as refugees in Genoa, Italy in 1940. They were at Agnone (CB) on July 4, 1940, and at Guardiagrele (CH) from Nov 18, 1940 to Oct 1943. They survived in hiding in Central Italy until Summer 1944. In July 1944 arrived at Fort Ontario.
