Branko Hochwald / Raymond B. Harding (M / Croatia, 1935-2012), Holocaust survivor
Biography
Branko Hochwald (31 Jan 1935) was born in Polje, Croatia, Yugoslavia, to Mane Hochwald and Jelika Stern. The family fled to Spalato, Dalmatia (then under Italian occupation). Form there they were transferred as civilian refugees to Asti (loc. Castelnuovo Don Bosco) in December 1941 and then to Ferramonti from 27 February 1943 from until Liberation in Sept 1943. In July 1944 they sailed for Fort Ontario, United States. Later, Branko Hochwalf changed his name in "Raymond B. Harding" and became the leader of New York's Liberal Party.
