I.N.R.I. - Ein Film der Menschlichkeit <German> / Crown of Thorns (1923) is a feature film (silent, B&W, 102m), directed by Robert Wiene.

Abstract

Based on the 1905 novel by Rosegger. The life of Jesus unfolds as it is told by a priest to a prisoner who is about to be executed. Shot mostly in Palestine, was made as a vehicle for popular Danish star Asta Nielsen (Mary Magdalene) and her husband Gregori Chmara (Jesus).
