(++) Il vangelo secondo Matteo (The Gospel According to St. Matthew / 1964 Pasolini), feature film
Il vangelo secondo Matteo <Italian> / The Gospel According to St. Matthew (1964) is a film directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini.
Abstract
Based solely on the gospel of Matthew and dedicated “alla cara, lieta, familiare memoria di Giovanni XXIII” by the Marxist director, is one of the universally acknowledged masterpieces of religious cinema.
