Das Buch der Weisheit (1860 Grimm), book
Das Buch der Weisheit (1860) is a book by Carl Ludwig Wilibald Grimm.
Abstract
The publication of Grimm's volume marks the beginning of the modern, critical study of the Book of Wisdom, due to both his philological approach and his arguments for the unity of the text. Grimm argued for a pre-Roman dating of the text.
Grimm’s commentary then became the starting point for a multitude of critical commentaries for the next century.
