Roberto Zargani nasce a Torino il 4 agosto 1934. Educato in ambiente laico, frequenta i movimenti giovanili Ehalutz e Zofim Geedi e conosce l'ebraico scritto. Consegue il diploma di Perito agrario. Pensionato, Roberto Zargani si dedica alla pittura.
