The Wandering Jew (1923) is a silent film directed by Maurice Elvey.

Abstract

Based on The Wandering Jew (1920 Thurston), play. Starring Matheson Lang in his original stage role.

A Jew, cursed by God for mocking Jesus, lived through the Crusades and Mediaeval Italy. He finally dies, forgiven by God, as a victim of the Spanish Inquisition.

The film was remade in 1933.
