Robert Henry Charles (1855-1931) was a British scholar.

Biography

Biblical scholar and theologian. Educated at the Belfast Academy, Queen's College, Belfast and Trinity College, Dublin. Leading authority in the study of the OT Pseudepigrapha and Jewish apocalypticism. Arguably, the most influential British scholar at the turn of the century in shaping the nascent field of Second Temple Jewish studies.
