The first complete printed edition of the Hebrew Bible, based on the Ben Asher text, was published by Joshua Solomon ben Israel Soncino in 1488. A second edition was printed in 1494 at Brescia by Gerson ben Mose of Soncino; [[Martin Luther]] based its translation of the [[Old Testament]] on this edition.
