King of Kings (1961) is a film directed by Nicholas Ray.

Abstract

The film begins in 63 BCE, when Rome first came into contact with the Jews, building a revolutionary fervor which is to inform much of the forthcoming action. As members of the Jewish resistance Judas and Barabbas try to use Jesus for their goals. The peaceful Jesus falls victim of their intrigues. Starring Jeffrey Hunter (Jesus).
