Biography
Sever Sternhell was born May 30, 1930 in Lwow, Poland, the only child of Samson Sternhell, a lawyer. He was aboard the Kastner Train, arriving in Switzerland in December 1944, after a few months at Bergen-Belsen. After the War he emigrated to Australia where he became a professor of Chemistry at the University of Sydney, and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science.
