The ''International Qur’anic Studies Association'' (IQSA), the first learned society dedicated to the study of the Qur’an, began its annual meetings as an SBL affiliate in november 2013 at Baltimore, MD. Two international meetings were also organized: at St. Andrews, Scotland (in 2013), and Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2015).

The International Qur’anic Studies Association (IQSA), the first learned society dedicated to the study of the Qur’an, began its annual meetings as an SBL affiliate in november 2013 at Baltimore, MD.
