Among the 52+ Jews who were confined at Malo were 11 children, with parents. They all left Malo on 14 Sep 1943 after the German occupation, going south. They were all successfully liberated in Central Italy. Six of them (the Buchler and the Rothstein families) migrated to the United States ([[Fort Ontario]]) in July 1944. The others ended up in DP camps in Southern Italy.

Overview

Among the 49 Jews who were confined at Malo were 11 children, with parents. They all left Malo on 14 Sep 1943 after the German occupation, going south.
