Firenze / Florence / Florentia is a city in Italy.
Overview
Founded in Roman times as Fluentia / Florentia, the city flourished in the Renaissance becoming one of the main economic, cultural and artistic centers in Europe. For a few years the capital of Italy (1865-1871), Firenze has maintained its status as the economic, cultural and touristic center of Tuscany.
