The Strozzi Chapel is a chapel in the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, Florence, Italy. In 1502 Filippino Lippi completed its decoration with a cycle of frescoes illustrating the Lives of John the Evangelist and Philip the Apostle. The work also includes on the vaults the portraits of four ancient patriarchs (Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jacob).

The Tornabuoni Chapel is the main chapel in the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, Florence, Italy. In 1490 Domenico Ghirlandaio completed its decoration with a cycle of frescoes illustrating nine episodes from the life of Mary of Nazareth [marked in green on the map], and eight episodes from the Life of John the Baptist [in red]. The cycle also includes 4 scenes of Dominican saints and the donors [in violet] and the portrait of the Four evangelists on the vaults [in yellow].
