The category: Greek, highlights the national and linguistic identity of people, associated with Greece and Greek language and culture.

Overview

The Greeks are an ethnic group that primarily inhabit Greece and speak the Greek language (circa 15 million).

Most Greeks today live within the borders of independent Greece (circa 10 million). There are Greek minorities in nearby Albania, and Cyprus, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Canada, and other countries.
