Biography
Sonia Checinski (9 Aug 1941) was born in Ferramonti, Italia, to Polish refugees Samuele Checinski and Hannalore Scharfliny. They were sent as civilian internees to Ferramonti and from there in Sep 1941 to Bergamo (loc. Gandino). On 28 Oct 1943, they managed to escape to Switzerland.
