Biography

Renato Di Castro (1930) and Aldo Di Castro (Jul 21, 1932) were born in Rome, Italy, to Silvio Di Castro. They were among the dozens of Italian-Jewish children hidden at the Salesian Institute PIO XI in Rome, Italy, by don Francesco Antonioli e don Armando Alessandrini, from December 1943 the beginning of 1944.

Aldo was a painter and artist; he died on July 18, 2004 in Velletri, Italy.
