Biography

Ilan Jaeger (Jaegher) was born (13 Mar 1941) in Draganec, Croatia, to Polish parents Edmondo Jaeger and Matla Schukl. Father, mother and child fled to Slovenia (Ljubljana) (then under Italian occupation). From there they were transferred as civilian internees to Como. In May 1942 they were at Olgiate Comasco. On 26 Oct 1943 they managed to escape to Switzerland.
