Hindrich Horak (M / Czechia, 1929), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Hindrich Horak was born May 19, 1929 in Brunn, Czechia, to Bedrick Horak. Refugees in Italy, in May 1940 the family joined the Benghasi Group and went to Libya, hoping to sail to Palestine. From Lybia they were sent to Ferramonti in September 1940 and then in KZ Forno di Zoldo (near Chieti) in September 1941. In November 1941 they were in Quero (BL) novembre 1941 and then in January 1944 at Pollenza (MC). They escaped and survived in hiding until liberation. In 1945 they lived in Tolentino (MC).
