Biography

Lilly Gaon (9 May 23) and Harry Gaon (15 Oct 28) were born in Zagreb, Croatia, to Cesare Gaon and Sofia Hirschfler. The family fled to Dalmatia. They were detained in Susak (1941) and then they were sent to Ferramonti (1941) and Perugia (1942-43). They emigrated to Uruguay in May 1943.
