Commedia della Conversione di Santa Maria Maddalena <Italian> / The Conversion of Mary Magdalene (1521) is a play by Antonio Alamanni.

Abstract

The central plot of this play in four acts is the story of the dissolute life and the conversion of Mary Magdalene. Alamanni framed the action with events set in contemporary Florence: two prostitutes hear the story of the penitent Magdalene at San Marco and subsequently, in imitation of the saint, they themselves repent.
