Coby Lubliner (M / Poland, 1935), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Coby Lubliner was born May 5, 1935 in Lodz, Poland. Under Nazi occupation, the family left Lodz and settled in the Piotrkow Trybunalski Ghetto. At the liquidation of the ghetto. Coby and father were sent to Buchenwald, mother to Ravensbruck. Coby was then sent to Bergen-Belsen where mother also went. They survived until liberation.

Reunited with father after the war they remained in Germany until 1950 when they emigrated to the United States. Lubliner was, until his retirement in 1994, Professor of Engineering Science at the University of California at Berkeley.
