Berta Conforti (F / Croatia, 1935), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Berta Conforti (5 Oct 1935) was born in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia, to Raffaele Conforti and Matilde Mosic. The family fled to Montenegro (Bocche di Cattaro). In July 1941 they were imprisoned in Albania at Kavaja. In October 1941 they were interned at Ferramonti and then in March 1942 at Sondrio (loc. Aprica). In Sept 1943 they managed to escape to Switzerland.
