Eduard Wilhelm Eugen Reuss / Édouard Guillaume Eugène Reuss (1804-1891) was a French German scholar.
Biography
Edouard Guillaume Eugène Reuss was born July 18, 1804 in Strasbourg [France] He studied Theology at Göttingen [Germany] under Johann Gottfried Eichhorn, and Oriental languages at Halle under Wilhelm Gesenius, and afterwards at Paris under Silvestre de Sacy (1827-28).
As a Professor at the Faculté protestante de Strasbourg, from 1838 to 1888), he significantly contributed to the knowledge of German Scholarship in France.
He died in Strasbourg on April 15, 1891.
