The Gladiators: A Tale of Rome and Judea (1863) is a novel by George John Whyte-Melville.

Abstract

Roman persecution of Christians, and a British slave's love for a Roman lady. The last part of the book depicts the siege of Jerusalem by Titus and the destruction of the Temple. The Zealots are conspicuous in these later chapters.
