Die Religion des Judentums im neutestamentlichen Zeitalter <German> / The Judaic Religion in the New Testament Era (1903) is a book by Wilhelm Bousset.

Abstract

Under the influence of Weber, Bousset's depiction of Judaism in the New Testament era was highly negative. Judaism was characterized by legalism and a sense of alienation from God. It did not provide an effective mechanism of atonement and forgiveness of sins. Judaism was the opposite of what Christianity would be.
