Works of cinema related to Simon of Cyrene

Overview

As in the Gospel narratives, Simon of Cyrene remains a marginal and obscure character in the movies. Only in the TV film That I May See (1951), Simon of Cyrene is among the protagonists of the story.

Performing Simon of Cyrene (actors)

Raymond Burr is the only actor who in 1951 played the character in a leading role. Otherwise, at the most, the character has offered the opportunity for a cameo to some famous actors, notably, William Boyd (1927), José Elías Moreno (1946, 1948), Sidney Poitier (1965), and Rudy Fernandez (1996).
