The Estonians are an ethnic group that primarily inhabit Estonia and speak the Estonian language (circa 1,1 million).
Most Estonians today live within the borders of independent Estonia (circa 900,000). There are Estonian minorities in nearby Finland, and Russia, and sizeable populations of immigrants and their descendants in the United States, Canada, and other countries.
