Dictionnaire des Apocryphes (1856-58) is a book by Jacques-Paul Migne.
Abstract
Second collection of OT Pseudepigrapha. Unlike Fabricius, Migne limited the field of OT Pseudepigrapha to ancient "non-canonical" writings. He also aimed to "rehabilitate" the material. In his opinion the Pseudepigrapha were not a collection of "fables and lies," but important historical records to understand ancient Jewish life and culture.
