Eskil Petraeus (1593-1657) was a Swedish-born Finnish scholar.

Biography

The Bishop of Abo was part of the team who in 1642 published the first Finnish edition of the Bible. Petraues was the author of the first Finnish grammar (Linguae Finnicae brevis institutio, 1649).
