John Pastore (1907-2000) - Governor (Rhode Island, 1945-1950) & Senator (Rhode Island, 1950-1976).

Born in Providence RH, Pastore was an American lawyer and politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 61st governor of Rhode Island (1945-1950) and a United States Senator from Rhode Island (1950-1976). He was the first Italian American elected to the Senate.
