A Love Divine (1996) is a novel by Alexandra Ripley.

Abstract

A fictional biography of Joseph of Arimathea, the man who according to legend brought Christianity to Britain. He is portrayed as sailor, adventurer, wealthy trader and confidant of King Herod. After Christ miraculously healed his crippled daughter, Joseph converted to Christianity. It was in his tomb that Christ was buried after he was crucified.

"Joseph of Arimathea is the man who gave his own tomb to the crucified Jesus of Nazareth. He is a mysterious figure about whom little is known. In the tradition of "The Robe" and "Ben Hur", Alexandra Ripley, the author who brought Margaret Mitchell's Scarlett O'Hara back to millions of readers worldwide, has written an extraordinary new epic depicting another unforgettable character."--
