• 1384 -- By John Wyclif. Based on the Vulgate.

• 1526 -- William Tyndale was the author of the first printed edition of the English New Testament. It was the first English translation to work directly from Hebrew and Greek texts.

• 1535 -- Coverdale Bible (1535 Coverdale), book -- First version of the whole Bible.

• 1537 -- Matthew Bible (1537 Rogers), book -- By John Rogers under the pseudonym of Thomas Matthew.

• 1539 -- The Great Bible (1539 Coverdale), book -- Revised translation by Coverdale, sponsored by Henry VIII.
