According to Christian tradition Zebedee was the father of two disciples of Jesus---John and James.

Overview

Very little is known about this character apart from his being the father of John and James. The Gospel of Mark says the Zedebee was a fisherman, had a boat and "hired servants." His wife also is recorded in the Gospel of Matthew among the disciples of Jesus.
