Gospel of Mark

Mark.1.19 And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. Mark.1.20 And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed him. Mark.3.17 James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James (to whom he gave the name Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder); Mark.10.35 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came up to him and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.”

Gospel of Matthew

Matt.4.21 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.

Matt.10.2 The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
